New Ipswich board accepts application to review truck-and-dumpster storage; public hearing set for Aug. 6

The New Ipswich zoning/planning board accepted an application from Nicholas Cormier to permit storage of a truck and dumpsters on his property and set a public hearing for Aug. 6 at 7:05 p.m.

Cormier, identified in the application as the applicant for KCBA 2026-8 (285 Turnpike Road, map 16A lot 7), told the board the dumpsters are used for construction and demolition debris and that he does not take household trash. “I do not pick up household trash…there’s no leaking fluids,” he said, adding that dumpsters on his truck are generally empty and held only briefly between jobs.

Board members flagged missing materials in Cormier’s filing: maps and lot-line information and some ownership entries that appear on online assessor tools (the discussion named Patriot Scaffolding and Elite Homes as ownership entries that did not match the paper map). The board asked Cormier to supply full-size site plans showing lot lines, building footprints, septic and driveway placement, and any placement details the board will need for the public record. Clerk staff also reminded Cormier that application fees must be paid before the hearing.

A motion to accept the application was made and seconded; the board voted to accept the filing and scheduled the public hearing for Aug. 6 at 7:05 p.m. (hearing notice and fees were described as required by staff). The board did not record additional conditions or a final land-use decision at this meeting.

Next steps: Cormier must submit the requested full-size plans and pay filing fees for the item to appear on the Aug. 6 public-hearing agenda. The board noted that the minutes and submitted exhibits will serve as the official record of the application.
