Board approves consent agenda, contract amendments and pay increase; okays sheriff’s vintage patrol car purchase

At its July 2 meeting the Yamhill County Board of Commissioners approved the consent agenda and a series of other routine items including contract amendments and a vehicle purchase.

The board unanimously approved a motion on the consent agenda that included check authorizations for the county fair, appointments, surplus law library items and minutes. Commissioners then unanimously authorized the sheriff to purchase a vintage 1954 Chevrolet patrol car after the sheriff and Glenn Langstaff (identified in the record as affiliated with the Yamhill County Sheriff’s Foundation) answered commissioners’ questions.

The board also approved Amendment No. 1 to an agreement between Yamhill County Health and Human Services and a treatment provider recorded in the minutes as Board Order 25‑303 (the transcript records the provider name in a garbled form). The motion increased the not‑to‑exceed amount and made the change retroactive to July 1, 2026; the contract amount in the transcript appears as a garbled figure ("$794,7208"). The board voted to approve the amendment unanimously.

Additionally the board approved Amendment No. 8 to an agreement with Andrea Kessinger (Board Order 25‑248) for psychiatric and behavioral health services, increasing the contract pay rate to $107.33 per hour effective July 9, 2026; that motion passed unanimously as recorded.

Board members asked staff to notify applicants not selected for committee vacancies and to send onboarding information to appointees. No further public testimony was recorded on consent or contract items during the segments reviewed.
