Cobb County to hold community meetings on 2050 Comprehensive Plan

Shelly Weidner of Cobb County Communications said the Planning Division will host community meetings to gather public input for the county's 2050 Comprehensive Plan. The meetings are set for July 7 at the Tim D. Lee Senior Center in Marietta and July 16 at the West Cobb Senior Center in Powder Springs; both run from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Why it matters: the Comprehensive Plan guides land use, transportation, and public services for decades. Officials said the meetings and the online survey are opportunities for residents to shape the county's long-term vision.

What to expect: attendees can offer ideas, priorities and feedback that staff will use in drafting the plan. "What do you want Cobb County to look like in 2050? Now's your chance to shape the future," Weidner said. The Planning Division is collecting input at in-person meetings and via an online survey at cobbcounty.gov.
