The Boscawen Select Board read and adopted a proclamation honoring Electra Solola Incorporated on its 50th anniversary and designated September 12 as Electra Solola Day in the town.
The proclamation recounts the company's founding in 1976, its growth into a major North American manufacturer of fine and ultrafine enamelled copper wire and related products, and its local presence on High Street. The board read the whereas clauses into the record and concluded with a formal proclamation: "proclaimed this first day of July 2026 by the town of Boscawen select board," after which members responded with vocal assent.
One member noted a possible conflict and said they would recuse from presenting the document at the company's celebration; another asked that the proclamation be framed for presentation. Board members praised the company’s local philanthropic contributions, including support for music programs. The board took no other formal actions tied to the proclamation beyond adoption and agreement to arrange presentation logistics and framing.
The board also discussed upcoming community business anniversaries and local events to be scheduled around the town’s calendar.
