County accepts $53,383 low bid for 3/4-ton crew cab truck to replace 10-year-old vehicle

Sedgwick County's Board of Bids and Contracts on July 2 accepted a low bid from CDJ Automotive LLC, doing business as Main Street of Lansing CDJR, in the amount of $53,383 for a 3/4-ton 4x4 crew cab long-bed truck used by highway and traffic crews.

Purchasing staff said the truck will replace a roughly 10-year-old vehicle with about 277,000 miles. Officials noted these trucks tow large work trailers and haul equipment and personnel to job sites. A member moved to accept the low bid; another seconded. The motion passed by roll call: Tim Myers, Brandy Bailey, Philip DeBold and Corey Stokes voted yes.

The county will proceed with the procurement and fleet management will assign the replacement to the appropriate crews.
