Committee votes to enter executive session to discuss personnel matters under state statute

After Central Services business, the committee addressed an IT agenda item and agreed to hold an executive session first so two attendees could be excused from later agenda items.

Chair Kathy Owens asked for a motion to go into executive session under the Illinois Open Meetings Act citation 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(1), which covers appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance or dismissal of county employees. The committee recorded verbal approvals; members answered affirmatively when the chair called the vote and the chair confirmed the vote to enter executive session.
