The St. John the Baptist Parish School Board on Dec. 7 unanimously approved a set of business and finance items including a geotechnical services contract, an insurance extension and an accounting services agreement.
Mr. Clay Slagle told the board there were “4 responses, 2 of which were non-responsive due to the omission of some prices. The lowest responsive bidder was Gulf South.” Holden moved to award the geo-technical services contract to Gulf South; Mitchell-Williams seconded the motion, and the board approved it on a roll-call vote recorded as 11 yeas, 0 nays.
During public comment Mrs. Janice Gauthier requested board approval to extend excess workers’ compensation insurance with Gallagher. Triche moved to approve the extension and Morris seconded; the motion passed unanimously on roll call.
On a separate motion to approve a contract with Eisner Amper for accounting consultation services for the 2023–24 fiscal year, Mrs. Miller, the district chief financial officer, told the board the contract continues services previously provided by P&N but under the Eisner Amper name after P&N’s sale. Triche moved to approve the Eisner Amper contract; DeFrancesch seconded and the motion passed on a unanimous roll-call vote.
