Arvon Township School Board elects officers, adds bank signatory and arranges buses for reopening

The Arvon Township School Board completed its reorganization at the Feb. 9 meeting, electing Mary Deline as president and Natalie Wahmhoff as vice president. The board also selected Deline as the REMC representative. Linda Griffith was chosen as secretary and the minutes record that Griffith will be added to the Arvon Township School account while the previous secretary will be removed from bank signatory roles.

On operational matters related to reopening, Linda Griffith reported that she had contacted Lamers Bus Lines, and the company will provide drivers beginning Feb. 23 when the district plans to resume in-person instruction. The board also cast its ballot for Brad Baltensperger for a two-year term on the MASB (Michigan Association of School Boards) Board of Directors.

The meeting adjourned at 8:38 p.m.; the board set its next regular meeting for March 9, 2021.
