Arvon Township School Board accepts two resignations, will advertise for replacement with accounting background

The Arvon Township School Board on Jan. 28 accepted two resignations and agreed to advertise for a replacement.

Vice President and acting President Linda Griffith said the board accepted the resignation of Heather Stiebe; the board moved to place an advertisement in the L'Anse Sentinel seeking someone to finish Stiebe’s term and asking for applicants with an accounting background. On a separate motion, the board accepted the resignation of Diane Paulsen, the district’s office manager. Minutes record the motions and the outcome as “all ayes.”

Board members who moved or seconded the motions were noted in the meeting record (motions recorded as "MMS Griffith and Wahmhoff" for the agenda and approval actions, and as moved by Griffith and Soli for the first personnel action; the resignation of Diane Paulsen was moved by Mary Deline and seconded by Natalie Wahmhoff).
