Hebron council appoints board representatives, adopts 2026 meeting schedule

At its Jan. 5 organizational meeting the Village of Hebron Council approved a slate of appointments to local boards and commissions and set the village’s regular meeting calendar for 2026.

The council voted to appoint Mr. Enwin as the planning and zoning board citizen representative. The mayor read a biographical summary highlighting Enwin’s experience as a lean Six Sigma black belt and work modernizing state software systems; on the record Mr. Enwin said, “It’s a great pleasure to be with you.” The nomination was moved and seconded and confirmed by roll-call vote.

Council also filled two Community Reinvestment/CRA representative seats whose terms had expired, confirming nominees by roll call. Andrea Chapman was nominated and unanimously approved to serve as the village’s representative to the West Licking Joint Fire District council board and subsequently took the oath for that role. Jennifer Kohler agreed to continue as the village representative on the Board of Tax Review and council approved her reappointment.

On scheduling, council adopted a motion to set regular council meetings on the first and fourth Mondays of each month for 2026 and to hold combined committee meetings on the third Monday at 6 p.m.; both measures passed on unanimous roll-call votes. Council also approved drafting legislation to formally set the meeting dates and times.

The meeting record shows council appointed Jung Hun Chen, the village administrator, to continue facilitating combined committees meetings and confirmed membership for the tax incentive review committee (tax administrator Kester and economic and community development director Meisner, with the mayor as alternate) and a shared income tax negotiating team consisting of Kester, Meisner and the mayor.

All appointments and schedule measures were approved by roll call with unanimous support from council members present. The council then adjourned the organizational session to proceed to its next agenda item.
