Town official: Prospect Ridge finishes underway, elevator now operational

Jake Muller, the town representative, told the Ridgefield Board of Education Strategic Planning Committee on April 24 that construction finishes at Prospect Ridge are progressing toward completion. He said work on the lower-level Alternative High School has moved past priming: paint and trim are in place, flooring installation has started and crews are completing final finish work. "We will start the flooring thereafter. The elevator in the building is fully functional now," Muller said.

The update indicated ceiling work is underway on the main level and ceiling tiles/padding installation is scheduled to begin the following week. Committee members who toured the building the day before reported enthusiasm about the learning spaces and expectations that at least partial occupancy could be possible by fall and possibly sooner for limited access.

The administration and consultants did not set a firm occupancy date during the update; they framed the report as a status briefing on remaining finish work and touch-ups. The committee expressed appreciation for the contractors and town staff for progressing the project through the final stages.
