Wymore council opens, closes public hearing on 2020–21 budget amendment

The Wymore City Council opened and closed a public hearing Sept. 15, 2021, on an amendment to the 2020–2021 budget with no public comments and procedural motions that each carried 4-0.

Mayor Milton Pike called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers. Present were Council persons Neil VanBoening, Max Allen, Sue Sapp and Curt Oblinger, and City Attorney Andy Carothers. City Treasurer Melissa explained the reasons the budget required amendment: the city had refinanced pool and water bonds and needed to account for the change, and the amendment would cover the cost of a replacement bathroom at Arbor State Park.
