Davis County approves sheriff�s office contracts, interlocal policing agreement and multi-year Taser purchase

Chief Butcher presented four items from the Davis County Sheriffs Office and the commission approved each by voice vote.

The first item approved was a master service agreement with Lexipol for an annual subscription (listed at $7,980 for the period beginning July 1, 2026 through 12/31/2026). The commission also approved amendment No. 1 to a standard design professional services contract (contract no. 2025680) to extend the completion date without additional financial cost. Commissioners approved an interlocal agreement with South Weber City that will be a receivable in the amount of $359,661 covering 07/01/2026 through 06/30/2027.

The most substantial procurement approved was for electronic control devices (Tasers) under the state of Utah contract PA4605, totaling $418,513.58 over a five-year period with terms beginning 10/01/2026 and running through 09/30/2031.

Chief Butcher summarized the items as routine equipment and contract-management actions needed for operations. Commissioners approved items 7 through 10 on a single motion and recorded the vote as aye.
