Town of Babylon board approves accessory-apartment permit for MD Ariel Hakmuni

The Town of Babylon board approved an accessory-apartment permit for MD Ariel Hakmuni after a brief hearing.

Hakmuni, who identified himself and gave an address in West Babylon, was sworn before the board and said the accessory apartment is on the first floor and has one bedroom and is currently occupied. The record for the application included an affidavit of posting, a New York driver’s license, bank statements and a PSEG account statement; a property inspection was noted on 2/20/26.

A board member moved to approve the application and a second was recorded; the board approved the motion by voice vote. Meeting staff told Hakmuni the permit would arrive in approximately two weeks and that the permit must be renewed in three years.
