Board approves Head Start applications, COVID budget adjustments and project extension

The St. John the Baptist Parish School Board on March 16 approved several Head Start actions: the 2023–24 Head Start Application and Cost Allocation Plan; the Head Start COLA (cost-of-living adjustment) and Quality Improvement application; and an extension of the project period and a budget revision for remaining Head Start COVID-19 funds.

Mrs. Melissa Watson and Mrs. Dominique Miller presented the Head Start items; motions to approve the application, the COLA/QI application, and the COVID project extension carried by roll call with all members voting yes. The finance committee had reviewed and approved the COLA/Quality Improvement application and the COVID fund changes on March 14, according to meeting statements.
