Product demo: Google Sheets Canvas turns spreadsheets into interactive apps

Danielle Jenks, a product manager in Google Sheets, demonstrated Sheets Canvas, a tool that uses Gemini app integration to convert static spreadsheets into interactive visualizations. Jenks showed examples including a live Kanban board that updates task status when cards are dragged, dashboards with interactive filters and toggles for spotting trends, calendars, gallery views and seating charts. She highlighted users "gamifying" trackers to add creative ways to view and interact with data and invited listeners to sign up for the Gemini alpha program or start building if they're already enrolled. The presentation was focused on product capabilities and did not involve public policy, government action or formal votes. The demonstration concluded with an invitation to join the Gemini alpha program.
