Rosebud County commissioners approve consent agenda, declare sheriff vehicle surplus and OK generator service contract

The Rosebud County Board of Commissioners met Tuesday, June 30, and voted unanimously to approve the consent agenda, declare a 2019 F-150 SuperCrew Cab used as a sheriff's patrol vehicle surplus with a minimum bid of $10,000, and approve an annual maintenance agreement with TW Enterprises for the county's generators.

The chair opened the meeting and invited public comment; none was offered. A committee member moved to approve the consent agenda, and the motion passed by voice vote.

On a separate item, the chair introduced a request to declare a 2019 F-150 SuperCrew Cab, identified as a sheriff's patrol vehicle, surplus inventory because it has mechanical issues. The chair said the vehicle "does have some mechanical issues" and that "they're going to sell it as is." A committee member moved to declare the vehicle surplus and the chair seconded; the commissioners voted in favor. The chair said the county will advertise the vehicle with a $10,000 minimum bid and directed interested parties to contact the sheriff's office for more information.

The board then considered an annual maintenance agreement with TW Enterprises covering the county's generators. A committee member who introduced the motion said the county owns about eight generators and noted that a three-year contract would lock prices. "How many are there? There I think there was 8 of them," the committee member said, adding that the three-year pricing would be "better for us." The motion to approve the TW Enterprises contract for generator maintenance passed unanimously.

With those items completed and no further business, the chair adjourned the meeting.
