Broken Bow council approves clerk, electric superintendent appointments and city banking signer

The Broken Bow City Council approved several administrative appointments and authorizations during its Dec. 22 meeting.

Council voted to authorize City Administrator Dan Knoell to be an official signer on all city accounts at Bruning Bank and Nebraska State Bank. The motion was moved by Jacob Holcomb and seconded by Larry Miller; roll call recorded the ayes of Councilmembers David Schmidt, Chris Myers and Jacob Holcomb, with Larry Miller noted as absent for that vote in the minutes.

The council then voted to appoint Kandi K. Peters as City Clerk and Blake Waldow as Electric Superintendent. Both appointments were approved by roll call (ayes recorded: Schmidt, Myers, Miller and Holcomb).

Council also approved a new employment contract for City Administrator Daniel Knoell. The motion to approve the contract passed by roll call vote with all members present voting in favor. The meeting adjourned at 6:23 p.m.
