Resident asks council to designate three no-parking spaces; council declines to waive three readings

A public hearing before the Broken Bow City Council on Dec. 22 addressed a request to designate three no‑parking spaces on the south side of South F Street to accommodate a driveway for a new home.

Resident Bill Butler told the council he is building a house and requested that the first three parking stalls east of South 8th Avenue be designated no‑parking so his driveway can extend to that location. City Administrator Dan Knoell summarized the request for council members.

The council closed the hearing at 6:21 p.m. and then voted not to waive the three‑reading requirement for Ordinance No. 1238, meaning the ordinance will be considered in future meeting(s) under the normal reading schedule.
