Shelby council hears church event announcements; deputy reports search-warrant activity

Council members on Nov. 4 heard brief community announcements and a public-safety update.

Celeste Morris told the council there will be a service at Shelby Lutheran Church at 7 p.m. on Nov. 26 and that Christmas caroling is scheduled for Dec. 7 at 4:30 p.m. Morris' remarks were recorded during the public-announcement portion of the meeting.

A Shelby County deputy updated the council on a law-enforcement matter, saying a search warrant had been served at a residence in town and that the investigation was ongoing; the deputy reported no arrests had been made at the time of the meeting.
