Crosslake schedules June workshop to continue land‑use ordinance revisions, including temporary storage rules

Chair David Fuhs said the commission will convene a workshop on June 25, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. to continue work on proposed revisions to Chapter 26 of the Crosslake Land Use Ordinance. The agenda items for the workshop include temporary storage structures, accessory structure standards, land‑use table updates, density and definition clarifications, and discussion of whether to allow or impose a moratorium on new temporary storage structures in certain commercial districts.

Fuhs said his priority is clarifying temporary storage end dates and enforcement procedures. Staff members provided worksheets for commission review and the commission took no formal action at the May meeting, choosing to continue deliberations at the June workshop.

The commission encouraged members to review the handouts and be prepared to discuss enforcement, permitting thresholds for pods and portable units, allowed locations and whether short‑term placement requires a permit.
