Crosslake reviews Year‑3 road bids and five‑year improvement plan tied to Mn. Stat. 475 bonding

City Engineer Phil Martin updated the Public Works Commission that the County opened bids for Year‑3 road work and Anderson Brothers submitted the successful bid below the city's three‑year budget. Martin said Sunrise Boulevard is currently out for bid with openings scheduled for March 31, 2026.

Martin summarized a recent meeting with Jason Murray of David Drone Consulting and City Administrator Lori Conway about the five‑year Road Improvement Plan for 2026–2030. He said the plan will use Minnesota Statute 475 bonding options and that Murray will present the bonding plan and the 2025 General Obligation Bond details to the City Council on March 10.

No formal action was taken by the commission at the March 2 meeting beyond discussion and direction to carry the plan forward to council for funding decisions. The commission noted favorable bid results relative to the budget and will return with final financing recommendations when council considers bonding options.
