The Carroll County Commission took several formal actions at its June 29 meeting:
- Minutes and finance approvals: The commission approved the June 15, 2026 minutes and accepted payroll and accounts-payable figures presented by the clerk.
- Waste management (jail) contract: Commissioners approved a three-year continuation contract for jail dumpster service at $399 per month effective July 1, 2026 through 2029, with no increases during the term.
- Direct TV contract authorization: After debating a seven-year term versus a shorter term that would cost an additional $7,500 to implement, commissioners authorized the administrator to sign a seven-year Direct TV contract to upgrade from analog to digital service.
- Generator project change order: Commissioners approved a change order to the previously authorized generator project to address code-violating conduit and trenching needs; the motion passed 2–1. County staff reported the original project was authorized at $150,000 and that additional site work will increase costs.
- Release of non-public minutes: The commission voted to release 11 sets of non-public minutes for the dates listed by staff, spanning Feb. 10, 2022 through June 8, 2026.
No public votes were recorded on the IDWise contract dispute; legal staff is preparing a response for the commission to review.
