Plan commission receives update on zoning and subdivision code work, schedules further outreach

Planner Jenna updated the City Plan Commission on June 29 about progress revising the zoning and subdivision code. She said neighborhood meetings continue (one remaining in July), staff attached the presentation used with neighborhood associations to the agenda file, and biweekly sessions with a consultant are underway to work through detailed code topics.

Jenna said staff plan a missing‑middle housing tour in August for the Neighborhood Revitalization Commission and will invite neighborhood associations. Council member Newberry praised the outreach and the presentation and suggested staff publish a list of past presentations and estimate how many people were reached; Jenna agreed to update the agenda materials with attendance estimates and past outreach documentation.

Staff said subdivision code work is expected to come back to the commission in August for further review. The update was informational; no formal motion was required.
