Board to advertise two upcoming museum trustee vacancies

The Executive Director told the board that two trustee terms will be advertised after recent expirations and that current members may reapply.

"So Bob and Shauna, we definitely would ask that if you would like to reapply, I'll send the notice out to the entire board, when those are advertised," the Executive Director said. The director added that the chair could convene a committee to interview applicants and forward a recommendation to the county commission for final appointment.

Members discussed term dates and agreed staff will confirm exact cutoffs and advertise per previous practice. The agenda item included a board list with several other term dates the director said staff would verify.

No formal vote was taken on appointments during the meeting; the board agreed to proceed with advertising the two seats and to report back with application materials and deadlines.
