Vicksburg board approves superintendent pay for 2025–26 in 5–2 roll call; holds closed session for mid‑year review

The Vicksburg Community Schools Board of Education approved superintendent compensation for the 2025–26 school year during a special meeting Jan. 19. Trustee Tina Forsyth moved to approve the compensation and Trustee Stephanie Willoughby seconded; the motion passed on a roll call vote, 5–2. Trustees Rick Burmeister and Lisa Hostetler are recorded as voting "nay."

Shortly after the compensation motion, Superintendent Keevin O'Neill requested that the board go into a closed session under the reference "OMA8a" to consider the superintendent's mid‑year progress report. Trustee Tina Forsyth moved to enter closed session, Trustee Lisa Hostetler seconded, and the motion carried unanimously. The minutes record the board entering closed session at 5:50 p.m. and leaving closed session at 7:50 p.m.
