Grandview Heights honors longtime administrative assistant Haley Head ahead of July retirement

Superintendent Andy led a series of thank-you remarks honoring Haley Head, the district administrative assistant who will retire on July 6 after 13 years with Grandview Heights Schools. Andy said Head had been “a pillar of our schools, a cornerstone of our community,” and credited her with professional district publications and building relationships across families and staff.

Board members and guests followed with memories and congratulations. One member said, “If you ever marveled at the professionalism of our quality profiles, our community newsletters, or our financial perspectus, you are looking directly at Haley Head's talent.” Haley Head replied that she was proud to have helped “put our best face forward in publications and in the community” and thanked colleagues for their support.

Speakers noted Head’s role during two bond levies (2018 and 2024), her work on communications and events, and the personal connections she built with families, staff and volunteers. The board arranged a group photo and provided parting gifts in recognition of her service.

The board’s recognition concluded with brief comments about continuing district work over the summer and a reminder that no regular July meeting is scheduled; a special meeting will be announced to address several summer hiring items.

Haley Head’s retirement and the board’s tributes were presented during the recognition portion of the meeting; no formal action was required.
