Carroll County supervisors on Tuesday approved several routine but consequential administrative measures, including revised zoning and building permit fees, a resolution documenting where public notices will be posted under House File 2490, and an annual appropriations resolution that releases 85% of next year's budget to county departments.
The board adopted resolution 202608 to update zoning and building permit fees, a schedule staff said had not been revised in many years. Staff compared the county's fees to neighboring Guthrie County before proposing the update; the board was told the schedule will take effect July 1 and be posted on the county website.
A separate resolution (20269) implementing the posting requirements associated with House File 2490 was also approved. According to the board discussion, the county already follows the required practices and the resolution documents where agendas and notices will be placed for public access.
The board approved the routine appropriations resolution that authorizes distributing 85% of the next fiscal year's budget to departments so county services can continue uninterrupted while the new budget is finalized. Board members said passage is necessary for ongoing operations.
