The Salem Township Board of Supervisors voted unanimously Jan. 25 to adopt a local disaster declaration under Resolution 8-2026 and set a public hearing for Feb. 18, 2026, township minutes show.
Bob Zundel moved to approve a disaster declaration and adopt Resolution 8-2026; Todd Paulich seconded the motion. Kerry Jobe told the board the action was "highly recommended" by Fred Cecchini and Bobby Rosetti. The three supervisors — Kerry Jobe, Bob Zundel and Todd Paulich — voted in favor and the motion passed unanimously.
The resolution is recorded in the meeting minutes as "A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF SALEM, COUNTY OF WESTMORELAND, COMMONWEALTH OF PENNSYLVANIA APPROVING A DECLARATION OF LOCAL DISASTER EMERGENCY."
