Regional project staff provided updates on construction and maintenance projects across the HATS region. Highlights include:
- Adola Road pavement preservation: phase one traffic controls with temporary signal at SR 115/East Columbia Road; full-depth reconstruction and paving continue.
- US 322 Chambers Hill roundabout: the roundabout opened and the project remains on schedule.
- SR 74 (York Road over Yellow Bridges): the SR 74 bridge reopened last Friday; associated roadway repairs are underway with a current completion date in September 2026.
- Spring Road over Little Junetta and Parallel Street Bridge (Perry County): stage one traffic control and detours began June 1; work expected to continue through late September.
- Schaeffer's Valley Road resurfacing: contractor replacing 42 pipes; multiple weekend detours planned—the next scheduled detour runs July 17–19 (Friday 6:00 p.m. to Monday 6:00 a.m.).
- SR 849 near Shaw Road (Merry County): highway maintenance crew will close the road starting June 22 for approximately 11 days to replace a large concrete pipe; a signed detour will use SR 405 (Mark Markelville Road), SR 408 (Middlebridge Road) and local township roads.
- West Juna Parkway (SR 1015) bridge over Okalamas Creek (Greenwood Township, Prairie County): online digital plans display available June 8–July 10; construction expected in the 2028 season.
Staff invited questions and provided website links and maps for detours and plans. Project schedules include several multi-season construction timelines (some projects through 2027).
