The Ticonderoga town board approved several administrative and financial measures at its June session, including grant applications, personnel actions and multiple budget transfers.
The board authorized submission of a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) application seeking $1 million to replace the Amherst Avenue water main; the project is part of a statewide CDBG program administered by New York State Homes and Community Renewal. A second public hearing was held and a resolution approved to consider an extension of Sewer District Number 5 to connect a property at 59 Baldwin Road that has reported septic system failures.
In personnel business, the board authorized promotion of Axel Dedric to wastewater treatment plant assistant operator 2A after Dedric passed the certified exam. The board also approved a range of routine administrative resolutions — including renewing a land lease, authorizing purchases (a court seal), hotel/training reimbursements, and a set of general fund and interfund transfers tied to water and capital projects.
The board recorded voice votes on the resolutions; several passed with at least one member recorded as opposed in the minutes. Where details were not specified in public minutes, the board noted amounts or that engineering/bidding processes remain to be completed before projects proceed.
The board also approved publishing a notice of completion for the Sewer District Number 5 surface discharge application and authorized supervisor signature on a lease amendment for a Chilson cell tower.
