At the May 28 Douglasville City Council work session Mayor Rochelle Robinson read a proclamation honoring Lois Gersenberger for 17 years of service as the city's municipal court solicitor from 2009 to 2026.
Robinson praised Gersenberger's professionalism and contribution to the municipal court and presented a letter of recognition on behalf of the mayor and council. Gersenberger accepted the recognition and said, "It's been a privilege, an absolute privilege to provide legal services. Thank you so much. It's been my pleasure, my privilege, and I'm going to miss it, but retirement is fun."
Council members and attendees thanked Gersenberger and her husband, and the mayor invited the group to take photos following the presentation.
Next step: ceremonial recognition only; no formal action recorded beyond the proclamation and photo opportunity.
