The Piscataway Zoning Board on Monday approved a variance allowing applicant A. C. Lombardi to retain a fence that encroaches on an easement and to address a shed encroaching into a side-yard setback.
"I'm looking to get a variance, for the fence that I currently have up," A. C. Lombardi told the board after being sworn in and giving her address as 31 Lucille Court, Piscataway. Board staff confirmed the fence sits in an easement and reviewed a June 16 staff memorandum noting the shed encroaches on the side-yard setback.
Jonathan, a board staff member, told the panel that the applicant must execute a memorandum of restriction and would be responsible for removing and replacing the fence if required. Lombardi acknowledged she understood those conditions.
The chair opened the public portion; no members of the public spoke. A motion to approve the application passed on roll call. The chair said the approval will be memorialized in a written document at the board's next meeting and mailed to the applicant.
