UNIFIL briefings at the UN indicated that peacekeepers observed a high number of projectile trajectories on recent days, with 32 trajectories reported in one period, 24 originating from the area of Yaroun impacting near Brashit in Sector West and others impacting areas to the east.
The briefing noted an airstrike northwest of Beit Yahoun and drone sightings near Tyre and Aachit al‑Qusayr, and reported incidents of heavy machine‑gun bursts and small arms fire in multiple locations. "Once again, we urge all to adhere fully to the ceasefire and refrain from any escalation," the staff member said.
UNIFIL also documented IDF patrol boats entering Lebanese territorial waters before returning to Israeli waters, and reported impediments to peacekeeper movements, including roadblocks, that complicate humanitarian access and situational monitoring.
OCHA and UNIFIL described facilitation of humanitarian missions and a decline in shelter populations as some families returned home, while underlining that returns must be safe, voluntary and dignified and that ongoing support is required to meet humanitarian needs.
