Staff previews comprehensive-plan future-use map and stakeholder meetings

During 'old business' the board heard planning staff describe a coming stakeholder meeting and the planned public posting of the comprehensive-plan future-use map. Staff clarified the future-use map is advisory guidance (not a zoning map) and that public hearings and additional stakeholder outreach will follow. A board member noted the town recently received an RDA grant to fund zoning updates tied to the comp plan.

The board did not take formal action on the comprehensive plan at this meeting; staff will schedule stakeholder and public-review sessions in July and provide materials for comment.
