At its June 3 meeting, the Selectpersons approved several payables and payroll warrants, opened paving bids for later review by the Road Commissioner, and tabled further action on a proposed sign ordinance.
Town Clerk/Administrative Assistant Cheryl A. Robinson presented departmental items and warrants. The board approved Payables Warrant #107 for $60,143.02 and Payables Warrant #108 for $32,824.89 (motions passed 5–0). The board also approved Payables Warrant #111, a $256,601.00 HVFD grant, and Payables Warrant #109 for $503.84 (both approved 5–0). Payroll warrants #106 ($4,889.67) and #110 ($4,766.80) were approved 5–0. The clerk also reported an April checkbook reconciliation, an approved catering permit in the state system, and that the Animal Control Officer had resigned.
Board members opened paving bids; the Road Commissioner will review them and return recommendations at the June 17, 2026 meeting. Jack Bridges moved to table the sign ordinance for further Selectboard review; Bill Birdsall seconded and the motion passed 5–0.
Member Alan Kane of Birch Tree Meadows Mobile Home Park left the meeting but said he would provide a letter to the clerk outlining concerns about the Mobile Home Stabilization Moratorium/Ordinance. Earlier in the meeting, resident Austin Schuver formally requested a site visit on Carter's Beach Road involving Mr. Paterson, Road Commissioner George Moon, Devon from RF Jordan, Clerk Cheryl Robinson and others; Jack Bridges moved to arrange the visit, Carol Lowrie seconded and the motion passed 5–0.
No contracts were awarded at this meeting; bids were opened for later review. The meeting record does not specify vendors or bid amounts; the Road Commissioner will present a recommendation to the board at the next meeting.
