At its June 24, 2026 meeting the Town Zoning Board of Appeals continued multiple area-variance matters to give applicants time to supply revised plans or documentation.
The board recorded a recusal by board member Mr. Campus from the HV Hospice parking-variance application and, at the applicant’s request, continued the HV Hospice public hearing to Aug. 26, 2026. No substantive testimony occurred on the hospice item at this meeting.
The Stratton matter (925 Violet Ave), concerning a front-yard setback reduction to allow a five-foot setback for a handicap-accessible ramp, was continued to July 22 after a site visit; the board asked the applicants to return with a revised contractor rendering.
The Bobcat Lane garage replacement hearing (owner identified as George) opened as a new public hearing. The applicant said the prefabricated garage has already been ordered and discussed constraints including septic location and mature trees; the board recommended on-site verification of dimensions and string lines and continued the hearing to July 22.
Jeff Elder’s request for variances to construct a detached three-bay garage at 7 Lum Lane was likewise continued to July 22 after board members noted neighbor support letters and discussed possible minor adjustments to reduce the variance needed.
The board adjourned the meeting and noted the next meeting date, July 22, 2026.
