Forest Park approves $30,000 consulting agreement for emergency‑services reporting

The Village of Forest Park on June 22 approved a one‑year consulting agreement with Public Consulting Group, Inc. for a fixed fee of $30,000 to prepare this year’s emergency‑services cost‑recovery report.

During discussion a commissioner asked for clarity about the fee schedule. Speakers noted that under the prior arrangement the village paid roughly 10 percent of collections and that last year’s bill was near $80,000. Staff said the $30,000 proposal was aimed at reducing annual consulting costs while acknowledging staff workload demands and the value of an outside firm to assemble the report in a single submission.

Council members moved, seconded and adopted resolution R57‑26 approving the consulting agreement by roll call.
