The Worcester License Commission approved a series of routine licensing items at its June 25 meeting, including one-day liquor and entertainment permits, sidewalk-dining alterations, and manager and license transfers.
Approvals included the Mass Youth Soccer Festival entertainment permit for July 14 (no alcohol), a one-day liquor-and-entertainment license for the Fraternal Order of Eagles on July 2, and a multi-day permit for the Original Italian Festival at 37 Massasoit Road (anticipated ~7,000 attendees over four days) with a contained alcohol service area and wristband/ID protocols.
The commission approved sidewalk-dining alterations for Broadway Restaurant and the Cosmopolitan (96 Hamilton St.), noting that outdoor food service may begin immediately if no alcohol is served but any outdoor alcohol requires state approval. The transfer of the restaurant all-alcohol license for Wing Company LLC (321 West Boylston St.) was granted, and a manager change for Beachwood Inn (363 Plantation St.) was approved.
Several items were postponed to the July 9 meeting, including Pacu Pacu Inc and the Italian American War Veterans post, and the Momo Palace all-liquor application was postponed for a premises view and clarification on TIP certification and liquor storage.
