Commerce Commission approves solar program submissions and backs FERC filing

Chair Scott called the Illinois Commerce Commission’s May 29, 2026 special open meeting to order and confirmed a quorum, saying he was in Chicago and Commissioners McCabe and Reddick were with him while Commissioner Carrigan joined from Springfield.

Chair Scott said Commissioner Paradis had sought permission to participate remotely; with no objections, the Chair granted remote participation. The Chair also said there were no requests to speak and no Transportation items on the agenda, and the panel would proceed with the Public Utility agenda under Other Business.

Chair Scott introduced Items O-1 and O-2, which concerned approval of batches, contracts and confirmations submitted by the Program Administrator under the Adjustable Block Program and the Illinois Solar for All Program. "Are there any objections to considering these items together and approving the Program Administrator's Submissions?" he asked. Hearing none, Chair Scott stated the Submissions were approved.

The Commission then considered Item O-3, the Commission's support of comments to be filed in Federal Energy Regulatory Commission Docket RM24-6-000. Chair Scott asked if there were objections to the Commission supporting and submitting the comments to FERC; hearing none, he declared the Commission's support and submission approved.

Judge Haynes reported no other matters. With no additional business from commissioners and no objections, Chair Scott adjourned the meeting.
