FENTON — The Fenton CHSD 100 board on June 24 approved routine motions including the consent agenda and an intergovernmental agreement with District 7 concerning student records, and formally introduced the district’s new assistant superintendent for human resources.
A motion to approve the consent agenda was made and seconded; the chair called the roll and the board recorded votes, after which the chair announced the motion passed. The recording of the roll call in the transcript does not allow an unambiguous mapping of each individual vote to every name in the audio, so the official meeting minutes should be consulted for the line‑by‑line vote record.
After the consent agenda, the board introduced Dr. Michelle Hassan as the new assistant superintendent for human resources; board members welcomed her and she said she will begin July 1 and is eager to join the district.
Later in the meeting the board considered an intergovernmental agreement (IGA) with District 7 regarding student records. The board moved to approve the IGA “as presented,” the motion was seconded, a roll call was taken and the motion passed.
The board then moved into closed session under Illinois statutes for personnel, student disciplinary matters, special-education placements and potential litigation, later returning to open session before the meeting’s conclusion.
