Park Norwalk approved a proposal from Miranda Creative to rebuild its public website for $18,462. The project scope includes a fresh WordPress installation, improved site architecture and navigation, ADA compliance, mobile optimization, SEO improvements and optional language translation support.
Greg and Juliet from Miranda Creative described the work as more than cosmetic: the firm will clean up backend complexity (including integrations such as HubSpot), implement accessibility improvements and add a language dropdown for non‑English speakers using a recommended plugin (WPML). The $18,462 estimate covers the scope described in the proposal but excludes separate hosting and potential new media capture/photography.
Staff said the price was offered in part because of an existing retainer relationship and that additional hours would be billed at a blended rate if unforeseen issues arise; staff committed to notifying the board if work deviates materially from the proposal. The board moved and approved authorization for Chairman Eric Reigns to execute the contract.
Next steps: staff and Miranda Creative will finalize project timing, scope and milestones and begin development under the terms of the approved contract.
