McIntosh council approves Poplar Meadows claims and purchases for community facilities

The McIntosh City Council approved $70,902.06 in submitted claims for Poplar Meadows and authorized several equipment purchases during its Feb. 12 meeting.

Rebecca Boehrnsen, identified in the meeting as the licensed assisted living director for Poplar Meadows, reported there are 26 residents and one open apartment. Councilmember Mark Simonson moved approval of the submitted claims for Poplar Meadows in the amount of $70,902.06; Councilmember Luke Syverson seconded and the motion carried.

Councilmembers also approved the purchase of a hot food serving table for $2,028.00. Councilmember Luke Syverson moved the purchase; Councilmember Mark Simonson seconded and the motion carried.

Under old business, the council approved the purchase of five new banquet tables for the McIntosh Community Center. Councilmember Luke Syverson moved the purchase and Councilmember Beth Hagen seconded; the motion carried.

These expenditures were taken as routine municipal business; no formal opposition or amendments were recorded in the transcript. The council also approved the meeting minutes from Jan. 8, 2026 earlier in the session.
