Board approves multiple consent items and grants tenure to 58 employees

The board advanced multiple consent‑agenda items across divisions and approved tenure recommendations for dozens of employees.

During the consent section the board approved resolutions related to library policies, the central library plan of service, contracts and other routine items after standard motions and roll calls. Later the board recognized and approved tenure recommendations for 58 employees across district schools and departments; the superintendent highlighted the retirees and tenure class during remarks.

Votes on consent items and tenure were recorded by roll call; the board also moved and passed administrative motions such as the appointment of Marggo May as clerk pro tem earlier in the meeting, and formally assigned the district’s outside counsel to provide defense in Christine Embelloo v. Board of Education as an added agenda item.
