The Anoka County Board on June 23 approved multiple transportation resolutions and accepted contract awards recommended by the Transportation and Parks Committee.
Commissioner Heinrich described four resolutions (2026‑TR11, 2026‑TR12, 2026‑TR13 and a revised cooperative agreement) to authorize right‑of‑way preparation and acquisition and to enter agreements with the Minnesota Department of Transportation and the city of Blaine for construction of grade‑separated interchanges and associated improvements along Trunk Highway 65 (between roughly 97th and 117th avenues and Cloud Drive). The actions were presented as routine steps to advance long‑standing corridor projects and were approved by roll call.
Awarded contracts reported by the committee included a professional services agreement with WSB for preliminary design and environmental documentation for work at Lexington Avenue and Constance Boulevard in Ham Lake (transcript records $312,046.56); a painting contract to Aerial Painting ($59,900); and two larger roadwork contracts reported to Park Construction Company and New Look Contracting Inc. The transcript contains formatting irregularities for the amounts on two resurfacing/reconstruction items; the board approved the awarded contracts as presented by staff.
Heinrich and other commissioners thanked highway staff for ongoing corridor work and noted that the Highway 65 projects represent the culmination of long‑running planning efforts. The board approved the transportation slate by roll call.
