After an internal screening process described by administration, the board voted to confirm Benjamin Parker as Director of Finance with an effective date of July 1, 2026. The district described an extensive search process and multiple interview panels; trustees who spoke in the meeting emphasized the candidate's internal experience working with district capital projects.
The board likewise approved the recommendation to appoint Melissa Thalacker as assistant principal at Iron Mountain Academy, effective July 1, 2026. Administration described a broad applicant pool and multi-stage vetting process for that position as well.
