The Stillwater Area Public Schools Board voted to approve a settlement with the Nutrition Services bargaining unit that covers the 2025'27 contract period.
Chris, a district representative, presented the agreement, saying the parties met four times and resolved a small number of language issues. Key provisions the presenter highlighted include step movement in each year, a 2.25% increase on the wage schedule in both years, a market adjustment intended to improve competitiveness, newly added longevity pay at five years, and revised short-term and long-term disability language to align with Minnesota paid leave. The contract also incorporates medical insurance language reflecting the district's cost-sharing approach with other bargaining groups.
Board members asked whether employees working at other districts under the contract would be covered; the presenter said yes, because the district is the employer. The board moved and seconded approval; members voted in favor by voice/raised-hand and the motion passed.
Board members thanked the negotiations team and staff who supported the process. The presenter acknowledged contributions from Ashley Zong, Christian McIntyre and McKenzie Christensen in staff offices.
