Board reviews track-team ammunition storage plan and approves routine vendor contracts

Cleveland, June 22, 2026 — The Cleveland Public School District board discussed options for moving trap-team ammunition from a coach's private storage to a secured on-site unit after the coach indicated he no longer could store the equipment. Insurance staff advised caution about storing ammunition on district property unless it met insurer requirements and security measures.

Administrators reported they had consulted the district's insurance company; staff described options for placing a controlled storage unit on site and installing security cameras so theft or vandalism would be captured on video. A coach who has worked on logistics was credited with exploring site and camera options. The program requested the board consider covering approximately $600 per year for a dedicated storage arrangement; the board discussed offsets and motioned on the item.

Separately, the board approved a KRCC contract for student-information systems support (state-reporting assistance, troubleshooting and training).
