Court approves historical markers, Spectrum fiber permit, road change order and extends an applicant’s term

The Blanco County Commissioners Court took several discrete actions at the June 23 meeting.

Historical markers: The court approved placement of Revolutionary War patriots historical markers (motion to accept the annual markers and a specified administrative period through September 30 was carried).

Spectrum fiber: The court approved an application to allow Spectrum to place fiber along a county road; discussion noted work would be on the west side of the road and the motion passed.

Road change order: A change order for Available Construction in the amount of $6,044.80 to cover additional oil/chips from milling/road work was presented and approved after brief discussion.

Personnel: After an executive session on personnel and interviews with candidates, the court returned to open session and moved to allow an incumbent or appointee to continue in the position for an interim period (the personnel discussion occurred in executive session; the motion to extend the term passed in open session).
