The Kingsville Conservation Commission voted on June 23 to issue a negative determination allowing the replacement of a failed Title V septic system at 9 Robin Hood Road.
Engineer Alex Chongers, representing the applicant Christine Sheridan, told the commission the project would replace a failed conventional system with a Title V–compliant, pumped PRSB and that construction would use the existing lawn and access from the left side of the property. He said temporary erosion controls, including straw waddles along the retaining wall, would be installed and that the Board of Health has already reviewed the plan.
"This is a septic failure and we're replacing a failed Title V system with a Title V–compliant septic," Chongers said during the presentation, noting the proposed system provides additional treatment and uses a pump to move effluent out of the immediate resource area.
A commission member moved to issue the negative determination "per the plan dated June 30, 2026." The motion was seconded and carried with no recorded opposition. The outcome allows the applicant to proceed under the conditions represented in the submitted plan; the commission did not record additional special conditions on the motion during the public meeting.
The matter concluded at the meeting and the applicant was directed to follow any required local and Board of Health permit steps before construction began.
